Sender ID Registration

Send SMS under your own brand name instead of a random number. A registered sender ID makes messages instantly recognisable and more trusted by your customers.

YOURBRAND

How to apply

  1. Create a Connect Media account.
  2. Choose your sender ID — up to 11 letters and numbers.
  3. Send us your business registration documents, KRA PIN and a signed authorisation letter on company letterhead.
  4. Tell us whether you’ll send transactional alerts, promotions, or both, with sample messages.
  5. We submit the request to the networks and keep you updated until it’s approved.

How long it takes

Approval usually takes several working days per network. You can start sending with a default sender ID while you wait.

Tips for approval

  • Use your registered business or brand name.
  • Avoid generic words like INFO or ALERT, and names that resemble banks or government bodies.
  • Make sure the name on your documents matches the request.
